If you’re an EU citizen living in the UK then it’s important you know about the EU Settlement Scheme. To find out more information, and to register, check the guidance on the gov.uk website.

If you’ve already applied, and got settled or pre-settled status, then you’ve protected your rights to live and work in UK, and get financial support through benefits like Universal Credit if you’re eligible.

If you want to live or work in the UK after 30 June, then you must register before the scheme closes. Once the scheme has closed, if you don’t have settled, or pre-settled status, then you may not be able to work or claim UK benefits. Employers may also ask you to show you’re allowed to work in the UK, visit the gov.uk website for more details.
