Finding a job in East Midlands

East Midlands river and hills

The East Midlands, with a population of around 4.8 million, is the eighth largest region in England and includes Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire (including Rutland), Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.

The main employment sectors are manufacturing, logistics, retail, adult health and social care. The East Midlands also has one of England’s most important farming sectors, supplying fruit and vegetables to local industries for freezing, canning and jam-making. Stilton cheese and world-famous Melton Mowbray pork pies are manufactured in Leicestershire.
